Euroma welcomes Mathys Boeren as new CEO

Royal Euroma B.V. ("Euroma"), one of Europe's top three companies specializing in herbs and spices, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mathys Boeren as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Boeren will lead Euroma in the next phase of its international growth and innovation, strengthening its position as a leading partner in flavour solutions. He succeeds Bert Bakker, who successfully led the company for the past four years.

Mathys Boeren brings over 30 years of international experience, having previously served as Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at Royal Cosun. His expertise spans safety, quality, customer focus, international expansion, mergers & acquisitions, and innovation. This broad experience will be instrumental in driving Euroma's global ambitions and strengthening its partnership with Marubeni Corporation.

Mathys Boeren on his new role:

"I am honoured to lead Euroma, a company with a rich heritage of crafting exceptional products and driving innovation in the food industry. As consumers increasingly embrace bolder tastes and novel flavours, Euroma is uniquely positioned to lead this exciting shift by introducing alternative ingredients, exotic spices and global influences to mainstream offerings. Through our sourcing network, application expertise and commitment to quality, we are connecting beyond great taste to deliver appropriate solutions to our customers. Together with our talented team and Marubeni cooperation, I look forward to bringing joy to kitchen worldwide and accelerating Euroma's international growth."

Since Marubeni Corporation joined Euroma in 2023, the company has made significant strides in its international growth strategy, including expanding its product portfolio with innovative flavour solutions and establishing new partnerships with leading food companies. These efforts have enhanced Euroma's ability to serve key international food partners. "As proud owners of Euroma, we greatly appreciate Bert Bakker's outstanding contributions to the company’s growth and transformation over the past years. His leadership during the acquisition period positioned Euroma strongly for further international expansion. With the appointment of Mathys Boeren as the new CEO, we are confident that Euroma will continue to strengthen its position as a global leader in flavour solutions," said Marubeni Corporation.

Euroma’s commitment to quality and innovation is exemplified by its state-of-the-art production facility in Zwolle, where cutting-edge technologies are employed to deliver customized solutions for both shelf-stable and fresh product categories. Under Boeren’s leadership, Euroma will remain focused on delivering high-quality flavour solutions and further enhancing its market presence in Europe and beyond.

Bert Bakker leaves behind a strong company, poised for further growth and innovation. “It is with pride that I hand over the leadership of Euroma to Mathys Boeren. Under his guidance, I am confident that Euroma will continue to strengthen its international growth and innovative capabilities. This is a natural moment for this transition, as the company is stronger than ever and ready for a promising future,” said Bert Bakker.
